Why Tuition Matters
Every child wants to feel confident and capable at school. But classrooms are busy places, and it isn’t always possible for children to get the individual help they need, exactly when they need it.
Sometimes a child may miss a key step in learning and feel unsure about what comes next. Other times, there’s not enough opportunity to revisit and strengthen learning. On top of this, frequent changes to the New Zealand education system can create uncertainty for students as well as teachers.
Tuition provides children with something school can’t always offer — focused time, a smaller group, and clear, step-by-step teaching at just the right level. At Marley Perkins, we give students the chance to ask questions, practise until concepts 'click,' and build the confidence that flows back into their school learning.

Every class at Marley Perkins is led by a fully qualified, experienced teacher. Our tutors bring a wealth of classroom expertise, so they understand both the challenges students face and the pathways that lead to success.
Because our teachers work across a range of levels, they have a “big picture” view of the curriculum. They know what students have already learned, and what lies ahead. This allows them to build strong connections between past, present, and future learning.
